It’s easy to put off a regular exercise plan or to brush off a healthy food choice in the winter months.

Well, now it’s time… June is mere hours away and BBQ’s, pool parties, trips to the beach, and more will be filling up your calendar if they haven’t already.
Chances are you probably wish you looked and felt a bit better as you start to peel layers of clothing off your body and head into the season of shorts / skirts / t-shirts and tanks.

So what can you do NOW that will help you look and feel better this summer?
There are a whole host of things… here are my top 5:
1️⃣BOOST YOUR HYDRATION: this will help your body lose the retained water that’s likely making you look and feel bloated and puffy. Plus it will help your skin and organs as the heat rises and you sweat more.
2️⃣DITCH THE PROCESSED FOODS: if you want results and you want them NOW, then do a little kitchen clean out. Throw away any processed items or things that have added sugars. Stick to fresh/frozen fruit, veggies, protein, nuts/seeds. The potential for safe, quick weight loss is incredible when you do this.
3️⃣GET 30 x 3: That is 30 minutes of exercise 3 days per week… to start. And not just any exercise- interval training and/or strength training will be your best options here.
4️⃣SLEEP: more weight loss plateaus happen due to lack of sleep than you may realize. Especially if you’ve been pretty regular with good nutrition choices and regular exercise, this might be where you need to focus.
