Beware: Fake Fitness Content is EVERYWHERE

A video still of a man in a gym demonstrating an exercise that targets the arms and lats.

Yesterday, I spent about 10 minutes scrolling Instagram’s results to the search term “fat loss for women over 40” today, to see what kind of content is out there.

HOLY SHITBALLS.

The internet is a fkn scary place.

There are so many people putting out such crap, I had to scroll for 10 mins before I found something credible!

So my urgent message to you today is:

DO NOT believe everything you see on Instagram and TikTok.

Please.

No, that lady did NOT lose 50lbs while growing her ass to look like 🍑.

And, NO, you cannot lose your belly fat by doing “these 4 exercises for 10 minutes every day”

If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

The ONLY WAY to lose weight/fat is to be in a calorie deficit for a significant period of time.

Doing so while prioritizing protein will drop body fat while sparing and gaining muscle.

It’s literally the only way to do it… despite what “@SexySquatMama” tells you!

I will say this: there are PLENTY of great and credible coaches and trainers out there… and they share solid, quality content.

But it doesn’t get the viral reach that the bull💩 gets.

So when you see something you appreciate, give the video a “❤️ “, a share, and throw a comment down saying how much you appreciate it.

The more you interact with the stuff you love, and the stuff that’s actually credible, the more other folks see it.

And if you’re not following us on Instagram (we don’t do TikTok), give us a follow: @lucky13fitness.
