Feel Stuck in Your Weight Loss Journey? Read This Before You Quit.

A woman in a black tank top with a focused expression looks up, resting her arms on a barbell in a gym.

Ever feel like you’re doing everything right-but the scale just isn’t budging?
Maybe your progress feels slower than you expected… or worse, someone you know is shedding pounds faster than you and it’s driving you nuts.
You’re not alone. A friend of mine recently shared the same frustration. She was showing up, putting in the work, and eating better-but still felt like her progress was crawling. Meanwhile, her friends were dropping weight faster, and it made her feel like she was doing something wrong.

Here’s what I told her:
You feel stuck because you’re comparing yourself to someone who isn’t you.

Weight loss isn’t a race, and it’s definitely not a level playing field.
Different bodies. Different metabolisms. Different starting points. Different lives.

Comparing your results to someone else’s is like comparing apples to fing sardines*. It makes no sense, and it only messes with your mindset.

The only comparison that actually matters?
You vs. You.
How did you move today compared to yesterday?
How did you fuel your body?
How did you talk to yourself in the mirror?

Those are things you can control. And those are the markers that actually lead to results.

So next time you feel stuck, zoom out.
Focus on being 1% better than yesterday.
Because small daily wins compound-and that’s how real, lasting change happens.

Stop chasing their progress.
Start chasing your potential.
You are your own competition. Make it count.
