NEVER Do This If You Want to Lose Weight

breakfast

There’s one thing that you absolutely do not want to do if you’re trying to lose weight.

Now, this might fly in the face of what some internet “influencers” say…. but beware who’s advice you take!

The people who are MOST OFTEN guilty of doing this are super busy parents or working professionals who have CRAZY BUSY DAYS.

They hit the ground running… there’s not any extra time, and as a result they very often commit this weight loss sin.

Skipping breakfast.

Guilty??? It’s ok. I’m not here to blame, just to educate.

What the research definitively shows now is that breakfast is the most important meal of the day to get a high amount of protein.

Your body is essentially coming out of a 8 / 10 /12 hour fast, and it needs protein to stimulate muscle protein synthesis, which is critical because when you lose weight, your body doesn’t discriminate as to what kind of weight you lose.

In other words, if you don’t get protein in early & often, your body will break down muscle rather than fat.

And, as far as I know, nobody wants to be “Skinny fat” or “soft” even if the scale reads 10lbs lower.

No. You want to be tight, toned, and look firm…. right?

So, back to the breakfast.

Protein is critical at this 1st meal of the day. I’m talking 45, 50 grams of protein.

You might think that is impossible to achieve, but truly it isnt.

Here are some examples of meals that will get you there quickly:

  • Oatmeal with 2 scoops Legion protein = 49g protein
  • 2 eggs with 1 cup egg whites & 1/4 cup shredded cheddar = 45g
  • Smoothie with berries, spinach, 2tbsp peanut butter & 2 scoops Legion protein = 51g protein

So, if you want to be sure your weight loss efforts aren’t totally sabotaged, kick every day off with a heaping portion of protein!

And if you would like to know exactly how much protein you should be getting in a day, email me ([email protected]) with the word “protein” and i’ll share my calculator!
