The Secret Ingredient You’re Probably Skipping

There’s something you can add to your strength training routine that most people overlook completely.

It’s not a new exercise.

It’s not some fancy rep scheme.

It’s definitely not a Peloton. (sorry, not sorry)

It’s walking.

I know, I know…. eye roll. πŸ™„.

Bear with me.

Strength training is still the foundation.

That doesn’t change.

But walking is the double-edged sword of fitness tools…

It’s simple enough that lots of people dismiss it.

Yet it’s powerful enough that skipping it is actually costing you results.

Here’s why you can’t ignore walking:

You’re working hard in the gym to build muscle and lose fat.

But if you’re only lifting and never adding low-intensity movement on top of that.

You’re leaving calories & muscular definition [aka being toned] on the table.

Walking burns extra fat.

It gets you vitamin D. β˜€οΈ

It clears your head in a way that nothing else really does.

And unlike another hard training session, it doesn’t beat up your body or wreck your recovery.

The people I’ve coached for nearly 20 years who make the most consistent progress aren’t always the ones doing the most intense workouts.

They’re the ones who figured out how to stack small, sustainable habits into huge measures of change and success.

And walking is one of the simplest ones you can add right now.

So if you’re already walking?

Keep going. (maybe even add a weighted vest thats 5-10% of your body weight)

But if you’re not strength training yet… or you’re not sure how to put the two together in a way that actually makes sense for your life, shoot me a message ([email protected]) and lets brainstorm.
