Did anyone pull a fast one on you?
I got duped by a few silly social media posts, but that was it. PHEW!
While the subject of fooling was in the air yesterday, I got to thinking about the BIGGEST thing that can fool people, as it relates to fitness & weight loss.
The Past.
The past efforts to lose weight….feel better….look better in clothing….feel happy and confident.
Past efforts that haven’t quite turned out as great as was expected.
If you’re someone who’s tried once (or 10 times) to reach a fitness or weight loss goal, without permanent success, you know what I’m talking about.
Eventually, you feel like nothing will work.
You might even start feeling like you’re not supposed to succeed.
Maybe failing at this weight loss or fitness thing is what you’re meant to do.
This is the kind of negative self talk that can take place when a person allows their past track record to dictate or (falsely) predict the future.
And it goes for things other than fitness, too.
Relationships. Career. Personal aspirations. Finances.
It all boils down to this: all it takes is ONE try that sticks to change the entire course of your life.
So don’t let your past fool you into thinking that feeling great, looking amazing, and living a confident happy life isn’t in the cards for you.
You CAN do it.
And, if you’d like some help and guidance along the way, I’d be happy to Coach you toward your goals.
