Well, something fabulous happened: Her daughter, a soccer player, is FINALLY getting back to a normal practice and tournament routine. So parents had to juggle their work and training schedules … and what they did was just about perfect.
Pre-pandemic, they might have said, “Oh, well, I guess we can’t make it to our studio training session on Wednesday nights any more because we have to get to soccer practice.” I mean, after a year with virtually no youth sports, this would seem like a good problem to have … though not a great solution.
What they decided instead was, while they can’t make it to the studio on Wednesday nights, they CAN switch their work-from-home day to Thursday and jump into a morning Virtual training session. Voila … as the pandemic has taught us, there’s no such thing as missing a workout anymore. I was so proud! “It felt great to get that session in,” she said. And believe me, it felt even better for our team to coach her through it … on her time and her terms.
Also, guess what? Even if that wasn’t an option, they could’ve simply pulled up one of our dozens of recorded workouts and knocked it out when time permitted.
You see, there are so many options now … so many more than we had before. So while it’s true that you can’t “make time,” it’s also true that you can choose how to spend it.
Choose wisely.
